The Perry wrestling team went 1-4 Saturday at the Waukee Duals.  Perry defeated Hoover 42-32 but lost to Bento 46-25, Ballard 54-22, Waukee 54-25 and Sioux City North 50-29.  Jackson Van Kirk went undefeated on the day winning 4 by fall and 1 by tech fall.  Seth Steztel went 4-1 with his first loss of the season coming to the hands of Ballard’s Dillon Hansen 6-2.  Skyler Knoll and Cade Van Kirk also went 4-1 with Van Kirk’s only loss coming on a weight move up from 106 to 113.    Other individual wins for Perry included Gesarveri Niybizi, Jacob Thompson, Conner Flannery, Caleb Karstarphen, and DeWilo Simoni.

Perry travels to Newton for a double dual tomorrow night with Newton and Pella.
