The Perry Jayette basketball tradition appears to be back after an 8-1 start to the season.   Tonight, Perry fans will find out if the Jayettes can take the next step.  Number 2 Winterset will roll into town with a perfect 9-0 record and aspirations of capturing the school’s first state championship.  There is plenty of young firepower with the Huskies.  Mariah Chriswell leads the Raccoon River Conference in scoring averaging 19 points per game while connecting on 25-55 3 point shots.  Taylor Benshoof provides an athletic second option averaging around 15 per game.  The Huskies traditionally run one of the toughest zone defenses to break as well.

Perry will look to jump  out to another quick start like they have the last 3 nights out.  They raced out to double digit first quarter leads against Carlisle, Greene County and Ballard.  Clair Marburger has found her scoring touch averaging 22 points the last 2 nights out.  Get out and support the Jayettes tonight in this critical RRC matchup.  You can listen to Perry bball tonight beginning at 5:45 with the Mike Long pregame show and tip off from the Perry gym at 6.
