Its always tough for a team after a loss, but what makes the ADM girls’ basketball team’s loss on Tuesday, December 18th, to Dallas Center-Grimes an even tougher pill to swallow is that the game is a very meaningful game to the girls on both sides of the court.  ADM senior Abrianna Grapp talks about the history and importance between the match up between the two schools.

“We’ve played DC-G all of our lives, most of us girls have grown up playing them and they’ve always been our rival team,” admits Grapp.  “Its obviously intense, we wanna win, but we know they’re a tough team so its not gonna be easy.”

Grapp, who had 8 points in the loss, was disappointed in the outcome, but she also knows that there were a lot of things to build off of in a game where they rallied and tied it in the second half.  We asked Grapp what she felt was the area that she felt the team played the best on Tuesday and can build off of going forward.  “Our offense is definitely a lot better than when we played them last year,” points out Grapp.  “We’re much stronger with the ball, more confident, we don’t panic as much as we did last year.  We’ve grown a lot in that area.”

The Tigers will finish out the 2012 portion of their season on Friday, December 21st, in Perry and the Lincoln Savings Bank Pre-Game Show can be heard on 107.9, K-107, starting at 5:45 PM with the tip-off at 6 PM.
