The girls’ basketball team from Greene County High School resumes practice today in the middle school gym in Jefferson. The Rams are preparing for the second half of the season when they host Heart of Iowa Activities Conference opponent Saydel (Des Moines) in Jefferson on Friday, Jan. 4. The Rams are tied for second place in the conference with six wins and two losses, and stand at 6-4 overall. The Rams have already surpassed the five wins the Rams had last season and the year before. The two non-conference losses are to Panorama (Panora) and Perry, both ranked in the top 10 in their respective classes. The Panthers are in Class 2A while the Jayettes are in 4A.
