Head coach of the ADM girls’ basketball team Brett Watson has said time and time again that the team doesn’t vary much from their game plan based on the opponent.  Its easier to say that when you are not going up against a team with the history and experience as ADM’s next opponent Ballard, but coach Watson says that in their first game back from the break, the Tigers are going to stick with what’s gotten them to this point of the season.

“We’re sticking with what we’ve been doing, just a few little twists to what we’re doing offensive and defensively.  Everything’s gonna look pretty similar,” Watson said when asked how they’ll look coming out of the break.  “Keep fine-tuning and just working on some of those little things.  We believe if we can just shore up those little things that big things will happen because of it.”

ADM on Friday, January 4th, will host Ballard, a team that has made the semifinal contest in 3A girls’ basketball for the last seven years.  And while coach Watson stated that they’re obviously a team that deserves a lot of respect and warrants a great effort to beat, ADM is spending their practices this break working on themselves.

“We’re spending this time during Christmas (break) really focusing on those things (we need work on) and just adding a few things,” stated Watson.  “Still kinda doing what we’re doing and just keep believing in what we’re trying to establish.”

The Tigers host the Ballard Bombers on Friday night in Adel, the Lincoln Savings Bank pre-game show begins at 5:45, tip-off is at 6 PM with the boys’ game to follow, and it can all be heard on 107.9, K-107.
