The Perry boys basketball team will travel to Bondurant tonight for a RRC matchup with 4-4 Bondurant Farrar.  Tonight’s game will be the first of 4 straight road games to open up the 2013 calender year.  Perry head coach Ned Menke has been happy with his team’s progress in practice the past couple of days.

“The kids have really worked hard over the holiday break, especially the last couple of days since the New Year.  We scrimmaged over at Guthrie Center and worked on both fundamentals and installing some new wrinkles on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.  We’re anxious for the challenge tonight.”

Bondurant Farrar has a very balanced team with all 5 starters averaging over 8 points per game.

“Their balance scares me a little bit.  You don’t find this type of balance too often in high school basketball.  On any given night, somebody different can beat you.  Sam Duffy is a good offensive rebounder and we must keep him off the glass tonight.  They are very fundamentally sound as a unit.”

You can listen to tonight’s game on KDLS beginning at 7:30.
