The New Year brings a critical Raccoon River Conference matchup tonight in Bondurant as two ranked teams collide in the 2013 opener.  Class 4A number 8 Perry will try to take down Class 3A number 7 Bondurant Farrar in a 6:00 tipoff.  The Jayettes are 9-1 while the Bluejays of Bondurant Farrar enter with a record of 5-2.  The Bluejays two losses were to Winterset 49-43 and DCG 49-43.   Bondurant Farrar is the reigning Raccoon River Conference Champion and qualified for the state tournament a season ago.  Bondurant Farrar defeated Perry twice last season winning 54-36 and 52-36.   Bondurant Farrar is led by Ashley Burrows 14 points per game.  The Jayettes have been paced by the trio of Claire Marburger, Frankie Eklund and Maggie Lowe.  Those three girls are accounting for 43 points per game.   Shawn Kenney will have the play by play tonight beginning at 5:45 with the HyVee pregame show on Local Radio KDLS.
