The nightcap in the ADM basketball doubleheader on Friday, January 4th, is the boys’ team taking on Raccoon River Conference opponent Ballard, who come into Adel with a 5-3 record, 3-1 in conference action.   The ADM boys’ squad currently holds a record of 2-6 but with only four conference games played thus far, a win would put them just a game behind Ballard in the conference.

One of the most impressive aspects of the Bombers is that they do not have one or two star players that you can try to focus on shutting down; instead they have had success by sharing the ball and relying on different heroes in different games. Senior Donell Crawford leads them in points with 11.7 per game, but they have four others who average north of 9 points a game, and a fifth who is just shy of 8 per contest. Slowing down the potent Bomber offense will take a team approach defensively but coach Aaron Mager’s Tigers are up to the challenge.

The game will follow the girls’ game on 107.9, K-107, with an anticipated tip-off around 7:30 PM.
