The Perry boys basketball team received a boost over the holiday break with the return of Perry center Drew Nichols. Nichols has been dealing with a sore ankle, an injury that cost him 6 games to start the season.

“Yeah, we can say for the first time this year that Drew is officially 100% and what a great thing that is. He will see his playing time increase and he will be a major contributor during the second half of the season, especially on the defensive end with his height.”
Nichols is averaging 1 point and 2 rebounds per game in limited action. Perry returns to the hardwood this Friday night with a trip to Grimes and a showdown with number 3 Dallas Center Grimes. You can listen to the game on KDLS.
