Guthrie County Board of Supervisors have appointed an interim country treasurer.

Deputy treasurer Marci Schreck will replace Marcia Kindred, who retired at the end of 2012.

Schreck has more than 18 years of experience in the office and will take over the position until the Supervisors complete their selection process for a new Treasurer.

Guthrie County Auditor Jerri Christman says the deadline to apply for this position expired Tuesday and they have eight applications to review.
