James (Jim) Soy, age 75,  passed away while on a recent ice fishing trip to Baudette, Minnesota with good friends.  A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 A.M. at the Lake City Union Church with Rev. Betty Weidert and Father Lynn Bruch co-celebrating.

Visitation with the family present will be from 4 to 7 P.M. on Monday at the Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.  Burial will be at a later date.

Jim is survived by his mother, Bertha Soy of Lake City, his better half of 32 years, Jane Stone of Lake City, children Deanna Clevenger of Letts, Iowa, CHris Soy of Eldridge, Iowa, Scott Soy of Muscatine, Iowa, Greg Soy of Columbus Juncti9on, Iowa and Brenda Grouwinkel of Fruitland, Iowa; 16 grandchildren, brothers, Ron Soy of Aurora, Colorado and Sohn Soy of California and sister Joanne Ortner of Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Soy.
