The Nevada girls are ranked eleventh in Class 3A with a 14-3 record, but one of the losses took place in Jefferson last month as the Rams won 56-40. Greene County is 11-6 overall and 10-4 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. Both teams trail league leader North Polk (Alleman) in the standings. The Rams can stay in the race with a win tonight. They play in Gilbert Tuesday, then end the regular season with two games vs. North Polk on Feb. 1 and Feb. 7.

Ram senior Jennifer Kennedy has 1,065 points in her career and needs 24 more to become the program’s all-time scoring leader in five player basketball. Kennedy scored 23 points the first time the Rams faced the Cubs.

Nevada’s boys are tied for first place in the conference with PCM. Both teams have just one conference loss and the Cubs have only three losses on the season. The Rams are 6-10 overall and 4-9 in conference play.
