The Greene County wrestling team added the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference dual meet title to their list of accomplishments for the 2012-13 season. The Rams went 3-0 on Thursday night in Monroe vs. conference opponents to finish at 9-0 in the league and 19-4 overall. All three matches were heard on KGRA, 98-9 FM. Coach Mark Sawhill’s team has swept the two conference titles each of the past two seasons and the 2012-13 edition of the Rams also set a single single record for most dual meet wins in a single season for a Jefferson-based program. The nine conference victories this season extends the Rams’ winning streak against Heart of Iowa opposition to 20 matches in a row.

Greene County was a 54-21 winner vs. South Hamilton, and followed that up with a 46-30 win against PCM, before ending the night with a 46-24 victory against North Polk (Alleman).
