BURIAL WILL BE AT  Lanesboro Cemetery. VISITATION WILL BE HELD AT   4-8PM  ,   Wednesday   AT   Lampe Funeral Home    WHERE FAMILY WILL BE PRESENT After 6PM. And a prayer service at7PM. Surviving are: Melvin is survived by his daughter Elaine Evans of Pleasant Hill, son Neil (Patty) Stokes of Colorado Springs, CO, daughter Leanne (Randy) Blair of Glidden, and daughter Julie (Chris) Donnelly of Des Moines, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Marie Stokes and Rosie Doner, Marilyn Remsburg and Kay (Edgar) Hunt, brothers-in-law Milet Carlson, Paul Kopf, and Randy (Marlene) Remsburg, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, son, Dennis Stokes, son-in-law, Bill Evans, twin brother Marvin Stokes, brother Curtis Stokes, sister Beverly Carlson, brothers-in-law Bud and Galen Remsburg and sisters-in-law Peggy McClue and Verla Kopf.
