The Dallas County Extension Office is looking for volunteers to help teach youth about science.
Through 4-H the Extension office offers hands-on science activities for kids in elementary and middle school. Adult volunteers, including high school youth, are needed to help with the science, robotics and how things work program.
A volunteer training event will be held Saturday February 16th at the Polk County Extension and Outreach office in Altoona. The primary focus will be understanding robots and using the LEGO Mindstorms kits.
