The Dallas County Conservation Board has events focusing on owls this week but later this month they’ll switch focus to another bird.

The conservation board is teaming up with the Army Corp of Engineers for an Eagle Watch program on Sunday February 24th.  It takes place at the Saylorville Lake  reservoir, which provides great feeding opportunities for eagles that congregate there in the winter.

Participants will be able to view eagles in the Des Moines river valley and learn more about the majestic birds.  Specific viewing locations and programing schedules will be available the day of the event.

It takes place from noon-4pm February 24th. For more information call 465-3577.
