The ADM girls’ basketball team went on the road and knocked off ranked opponent Ballard on Tuesday, February 5th, in Huxley.  ADM led most of the way and finished the game off with clutch free throw shooting to come away with the victory by a score of 52-45.

It was a one-possession game for most of the contest as ADM led 8-7 after a quarter of play, and with 1.1 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter Ballard was trailing 17-14 and had an offensive inbound.  However, desperation 3-pointer with no time left from Meredith Ossian, her only points in the game, tied the game at 17 at the half.

ADM pulled away in the 2nd quarter thanks in large part to freshman Brianna Mueller, who had 8 of her 12 points in the 2nd half, during which she went 6 of 8 from the free throw line.  Madi Bertman had 10 points in the win, Kendra Chapman scored 9, and Emily Hoffman, Haley Canney and Molly Jacobsen all put back 5.  Ballard’s Katie Ahrenholtz scored 22 in the loss, and her teammates Gabi Doud and Emily Knittel each put up 6 points.

ADM’s final regular season game has been moved to Thursday, February 7th, with the Lincoln Savings Bank Pregame Show at 7:15 PM, tipoff at 7:30, on 107.9, K-107.
