A deputy was advised of a theft of tools from a residence in the 2000 block of M Ave.  An investigation will be initiated.

A deputy was contacted by a Greene County resident, that he had placed an advertisement on Craigs List and had received a reply with a check .The reply stated that the Greene County resident was to use a certain amount of the funds to satisfy his costs and then send the balance to an address that he would be provided. Before sending the remaining dollars to the address provided, the check was taken to a Greene County bank and was found to be fraudulent. The bank advised that he report this scam to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy investigated a letter that was placed in a mailbox in the 300 block 180 th St.  The letter contained two handwritten pages of information but was not signed.

A deputy checked a stranded vehicle at J Ave. on 220th St. The driver stated that he had already called for assistance.

The Greene County Law Enforcement Center was advised of an alarm being set off in the Grand Junction school. The key holder called the Law Enforcement Center to advise that a teacher was in the building to shut off some lights which set off the motion alarm.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
