The ADM girls basketball team fought off a late Saydel push in defeating the Eagles Saturday night 52-46 in a 3A  Quarterfinal.  ADM led by as many as 11 points early in the second half but Saydel took the lead 42-41 early in the fourth quarter.   The Tigers never paniced and Kendra Chapman’s blocked shot led to an easy transistion basket by Kelsey Hoffman to give ADM the lead 43-42 and the Tigers never looked back.  Brianna Mueller, Hoffman and Madi Bertman all hit big free throws down the stretch.

The game also marked the return of power forward Abrianna Grapp who had missed the past 4 weeks with an ankle injury.  Grapp played solid for three quarters before leaving in the 4th with what appeared to be another ankle injury.  Senior Kelsey Hoffman had to be carried off the court in the game’s final second after stepping on a foot and injuring her ankle.  Both players status for Wednesday’s game are questionable.  ADM improves to 12-10 on the season while Saydel finishes 9-14.  The Tigers will travel to Alleman for a Regional Semifinal Wednesday night against 7th ranked North Polk.  Tip off will be 7:00 on Real Country K 107.
