The Perry Kiwanis Club’s annual pancake festival happens this weekend.

The event is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year and in 2013 they set a goal of $10,000.

Team captain Larry Saemisch says it’s an all you can eat breakfast for just $5 in advance or $6 at the door including pancakes, sausage and beverages.

Of course there’s also some friendly competition included with this event as the Kiwanians have been split into two teams and the captain of the team that brings in less money will receive a pie in the face.

Jason Levan is part of the Trish Roberts team and says even though he’d like to see Larry get “pied” they all just want to help the community.

The event takes place from 7am to 6:30pm Saturday at the Perry Elks Lodge.  Advance tickets are available from any member, or you can purchase them at the door.
