One of the items on Perry’s upcoming City Council meeting agenda is a public hearing in regards to the fiscal year 2014 budget and approval by the council.

Perry Mayor Jay Pattee thanks all of the city’s department heads and administration for their hard work during the budget season and for working together to iron out the numbers.  Despite some controversy over the number of officers needed for the Perry Police Department, Pattee says he things this year’s budget process went well

And in addition to the normal operational costs, Pattee says there are things in this year’s budget that he’s looking forward to including several big events this summer and the city’s comprehensive plan.

That next council meeting will take place Monday in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building at 6pm.
