The Raccoon River Valley Trail Association hosted another successful annual banquet earlier this month.
The 6th annual event took place at the Lake Panorama National Resort and Conference Center and was attended by around 200 people. In total, the banquet raised more than $21,000 for the trail association including more than $9,700 in tickets, almost $1,400 in raffle tickets and cash donations of more than $2,700. After subtracting expenses, the total profit was $14,322.
All of the money raised will go toward the organization’s mission of marketing and promoting the trail and towns it connects.
Association Chairman Daniel Willrich says 2013 is going to be one of their busiest years ever with the completion of the north loop, the Market to Market Relay and grand opening event.
