With two winter storms crashing into Iowa in less than a week, there is usually several weather-related accidents.  However, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office is reporting low numbers.

Sheriff Steve Haupert says there were five one vehicle accidents reported since the first mini winter storm on Thursday, February 21st. And of those, two were deer related.  He further states that there was one, two vehicle accident and three abandoned vehicles from the two winter storms.

Sheriff Haupert is happy to report that there were no injuries involved in any of the accidents.  He would like to applaud the public for driving safely on the roads during the winter season.  He reminds everyone to keep it up and know that with possibly another snow storm looming early next week, to continue to practice safe winter driving skills.
