Ankeny Christian Academy lost in Monday’s first round of the boys’ basketball State tournament. That means all nine Rolling Hills Activities Conference programs have completed their seasons and the all-conference selections may now be released.
Paton-Churdan did not have any first team all-conference selections, but two Rockets were named to the second team. Sophomore Jake Carey and freshman Noah Juergensen were both second team choices from P-C.
First team selections in the Rolling Hills were Ben Taylor and J. J. Waddle, both from Ankeny Christian, Spencer Rochholz of Adair-Casey, Jon Luke Talton of Grandview Park Baptist (Des Moines), Thomas Hamilton of Glidden-Ralston, Trevor McKee of CAM (Anita), Micah Kowbel of Iowa Christian Academy (West Des Moines), and Cole Anderson of Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton.
Joining Carey and Juergensen on the second unit were Chayton Tomemah and Damon Stubbs, both of ACA, Emitt Wheatley and Alex Umbaugh, both of A-C, Michael Holste of CAM, and Connor Arrasmith of GVPB.
