More postseason honors were handed out this week when the Iowa Girls Basketball coaches unveiled their All-State teams for Iowa’s five classes.  In class 4A, the Raccoon River Conference’s leading scorer Claire Marburger was placed on the first team along with Winterset senior Taylor Benshoof.  Winterset’s Mariah Chriswell and Carroll’s Brittany Holdsworth and Ballard’s Katie Ahrenholz were second team honorees.  Dallas Center Grimes guard Dani Heritage was named to the third team.  4A coach of the year was Cedar Rapids Xavier’s Tom Lilly.

Panorama junior Olivia Godfrey was named to the first team 2A All State squad.  Godfrey led the Panthers to the state tournament this past season.  Greene County senior Jennifer Kennedy was named to the second team in Class 3A. Other area kids receiving state honors include Adair Casey’s  London Vais on the 1A second team and Earlham’s Morgan Johnson was placed on the 1A third team.
