The Greene County Leadership Program sponsored by the Greene County Extension Office will be continuing with its fourth session tonight.
Extension Coordinator Michael Cooley explains what tonight’s topic will cover.
“One of the primary topics that we will be covering at this session is ‘Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?’ dealing with controversy and conflict. And then also, one that a lot of participants are looking forward to working with difficult people.”
Cooley says that each session continually builds on itself to the next one. He states that in the first session participants learned about different personality traits. The second workshop dealt with understanding how those personality traits can work together to communicate and listening to one another. The last course was taking those communication and listening skills and leading effective meetings.
One participant, Chamber Assistant Jason Cerveny, describes what session has been most beneficial for him so far.
“The most beneficial for me, so far is the first session we had where we learned about personality differences. I found that really interesting and that was information that I had no idea about, really, I knew everybody has a different personality but it was informative.”
ISU Extension Community Economic Development Specialist Jane Goeken will again lead the fourth session. It will be at the new Rippey Community Center tonight from 6-9pm.
