Perry’s high school graduation rate increased last year and remains above the statewide average.

Superintendent Lynn Ubben says the graduation rate is up and dropout percentage was down for the 2011-2012 school year.

93.75% of Perry High School seniors graduated in 2012, up slightly from the class of 2011.  Iowa’s graduation rate came in at 89% last year.

Ubben attributes the positive change to the effort district teachers and staff put in establishing positive relationships and high expectations.
