Perry residents will soon have another choice in internet providers as a Dallas County company is expanding its service area.

Minburn Communications has been granted a certificate from the Iowa Utilities Board that allows them to provide telecommunication services in Perry.

Construction on the multi-year project is expected to start this spring and the company will be offering telephone, cable television, broadband internet and i-Wireless cellular products once they put in fiber optic cable across the area.

General Manager Debra Lucht says they’re excited about the opportunity to expand their service area and offer more innovative and modern services to the Perry area. She adds that they “look forward to building strong business relations and becoming an active partner in the community”.

The Minburn based company started in 1903. They expanded services to Woodward in 1998 and launched fixed wireless internet in Bouton early this year.
