Despite the hazardous weather conditions, the shareholders of Panora Communication Cooperative and Panora Cooperative Cablevision Association gathered Monday evening in the atrium of the Panorama High School for their annual meeting.

Board of Directors veteran members Tom Neel and Tom Baker are stepping down and, for the first time in memory, the selection of two new board members of the local phone company was assured as no incumbents were running.  Chris Arganbright and Kelvin Hafner filled the vacated spots.

After the election of directors was held, those in attendance heard several reports given by key speakers.  Several participants receiving gifts and prizes enjoyed the rest of the evening and all enjoyed refreshments made available.

Other than phone service, the company provides Internet, wireless Internet, plus cablevision to five communities.  It also owns a business park and aids in local development.

Guthrie Center Communications, a subsidiary, serves that community with phone, cable and Internet service.
