Yard waste pick up in the City of Perry will begin later this month.

Starting March 20th, crews will pick up items place on the curb by 7am. City Administrator Butch Niebuhr says this is earlier than when the pickups used to start so that they can take advantage of a longer season to

Tree, bush and brush materials need to be bundled and tied in a maximum lengths of four feet with a maximum weight of 40 pounds per bundle.

All other yard waste must be placed in paper yard bags with a maximum weight of 40 pounds.

The first three pickups will be city wide on Wednesdays through April 3rd.  Then it will alternate each week between the north and south side of Willis Avenue.
