Friday, March 15th

A deputy while executing a routine traffic stop for speeding, arrested Nicholas Bryant Morgan of Marshalltown  for driving while revoked in the state of Iowa for O.W.I. test failure. A second deputy responding to the same traffic stop arrested Julio Cesar Garcia also of Marshalltown for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

A deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 1670 320th Street. A 2000 Pontiac Grand AM driven by Courtney Jo Gymer of Yale sustained minor damage and Ms. Gymer was not injured.

Greene County deputies were asked to try and locate a semi-tractor and livestock trailer that was driving erratic and carless on Highway 25 near 220th Street. The semi was not located at that time.

A deputy was asked to help settle a car- bicycle dispute in Grand Junction.

A deputy was asked to help Shari Hewitt in Paton regarding some text messaging.

Saturday, March 16th

A deputy checked and placed a 24 hour sticker on an unoccupied vehicle at 300 th Street and Neola Ave.

A deputy arrested Kenneth Harlow Jr. of Scranton for public intoxication.

A deputy was called to 906 East Main Street in Grand Junction to help settle a dispute between a brother and sister.

A deputy was advised that Paul Gehling of 703 State Street in Scranton was receiving harassing phone calls. The deputy called the phone number and spoke with the caller advising him not to continue harassing Mr. Gehling. The caller agreed to stop making the harassing phone calls.

A deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle at 2427 J Avenue. The vehicle was not located at that time.

A deputy was advised of a suspicious vehicle at 1454 J Avenue. The deputy stopped a vehicle that was being driven by Chad Louk of Jefferson for operating a motor vehicle with one headlamp.

Sunday, March 17th

Boone County asked Greene County for assistance in locating a vehicle that was westbound from Highway 169 on 130th Street. The Boone County Sheriffs office later found the vehicle.

A deputy was asked to check on a vehicle in the 600 block of 300 th Street. Upon the deputy’s arrival the vehicle was not found.

A deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle near 1916 110th Street. The deputy later determined that the pickup driven by Jacob Cullum of Paton was delivering the Sunday papers.

1:17 pm, a deputy checked an unoccupied vehicle on 220th Street just west of J Ave.

A deputy was advised of a road wash out west of D Avenue on 210th Street. The deputy controlled traffic while the Greene County Secondary Roads crew repaired the roadway.

A deputy was advised of a Red Dodge pickup that was driving erratically around Grand Junction. The pickup was later found at a residence in Grand Junction.

David Perry of 400 North Locust Street in Scranton called the Greene County Law Enforcement Center stating that his wife had just struck a deer near 249th Street and J Avenue and proceeded on home with the vehicle. Upon the deputy’s arrival the deer had already been removed from the roadway.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
