The Perry Community School District Board of Education has submitted their initial contract change proposal.
The district is proposing a 2.26% increase for the upcoming year at an increased cost of $208,877. The proposal includes no base increase on the regular salary, but allows a one step movement and includes the IPERS cost increase along with the health and dental insurance premium increases of roughly 3%. It also agrees to add the National Honor Society Advisor to the extracurricular supplemental salary schedule.
This is considerably lower than the Perry Education Association’s initial proposal which included a $1,800 base salary, a 7.12% increase over last year and a total cost of 656,541.
The negotiation process will continue through closed meetings and we’ll continue to bring you updated information is it becomes official.
