Funeral Services for Kent Wendell Hedges Sr., age 74, of Ankeny and formerly of Scranton will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, April 6,  at the Scranton United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in the Scranton Township Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Ankeny on Thursday April 4, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday where friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.

Kent is survived by a daughter Julie Letze of  Runnells, Iowa; a son Kent Hedges II of Cambridge, Maryland; his mother Jean Hedges of Scranton; a sister Jan Reever of Fairfield, Iowa; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a son-in-law Howie Burrows of Ankeny; a niece Renee Olson of Boulder City, Nevada, a nephew Jason Reever of Clear Water, Minnesota, several cousins, and many good friends.
