The Greene County Leadership Steering committee is inviting the public to a community involvement night this Thursday.

Greene County Chamber Executive Director Ken Paxton says this event is important for people who want to give back to the community but maybe don’t know what opportunities there are available.

The Greene County Cattlemen’s Association will be grilling free hotdogs and hamburgers.  Plus door prizes will be given away during the event.

The featured speaker will be co-owner of the Carroll Daily Times Herald and the Jefferson Bee and Herald Douglas Burns.  He will be talking about the importance of civic engagement and the impact it can have on a community.

The free event is from 5-7pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church parish hall in Jefferson on Thursday, April 4th.
