Guthrie County Extension Office wants to remind 7th and 8th grade 4-H members that they are running out of time to register for the Intermediate Trip to Kansas City. The trip begins after school on Friday, April 19 with a ride on Deluxe Motorcoach Transportation to the Salvation Army camp where pizza will be served, followed by evening activities. Saturday’s tours include the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame, and Coterie Theater at Crown Center, and Science City. Kansas City Zoo will be the Sunday attraction before the motorcoach takes the group back to Iowa.
Guthrie County Extension 4-H Youth Coordinator Carolyn Wilson urges 4-H members to not miss out on your chance to have fun and meet other youth from Greene, Carroll, Crawford, Shelby, and Audubon counties on our bus, and even more youth from around the state in Kansas City. Cost of the trip is $175, but $50 will be refunded by the youth committee. This includes the bus, two nights lodging, zoo, Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame, Coterie Theater at Crown Center and Science City. Participants will need to bring money for meals.
Those interested in attending this getaway should register by April 5. For more information or to register call Carolyn Wilson at 641-747-2276.
