Girls and boys teams from Perry and Woodward-Granger, plus the Greene County girls, were in the field at the Carroll Coed Relays at Carroll Athletic Field on Monday. Carroll won both team titles. The Carroll girls had 126 points with Greene County second at 106, followed by IKM-Manning 96, Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto 89, Woodward-Granger 77, Audubon 61, and 34 by Perry. Carroll won the boys title with 133 points while IKM-Manning was second at 108.22. Perry was third at 102.25 with W-G at 83.50, Audubon 54.75, MVAO 54, and 22.25 from Glidden-Ralston.

Greene County’s girls won the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:10.41 with Eme Johnson, Chelsi Wilkens, Sarah Sandage, and Kate Sandage, and Allison Higgins won the 3,000 meter run in 12:16.82. Perry won the distance medley relay in 4:43.50 with Laura Finneseth, Mary Wilhelmi, Maggie Lowe, and Daisy Cerna.  Cerna also placed first in the 1,500 meter run in 5:25.80. Woodward-Granger won the sprint medley relay in 1:56.00, was first in the 4 x 400 meter relay in 4:21.11, and Haley Manning won the 400 and 800 meter races. Manning ran 1:02.06 in the 400 and 2:29.00 in the 800.

On the boys’ side, Will Whiton and Ben Daniels went one-two in the long jump for Perry with Whiton at 21′ 2-1/2″ and Daniels at 21′ 00″. Whiton also won the 100 meters in 11.88 seconds, and the Blue Jays were first in the 4 x 200 meter relay in 1:34.72 with Caleb Jans, Kory Fellom, Daniels, and Whiton. Perry also won the 4 x 800 meter relay in 8:36.12 with Victor Trinidad, Fellom, Ben Daniels, and Atem Akok, while the Blue Jays also won the medley relay in 3:42.06 with Jans, Whiton, Fellom, and Akok. The Blue Jays had two other runner-up finishes from Trinidad in the 800 meters in 2:11.15 and by Christian Morales in the 3,200 meter run in 11:26.78.

Woodward-Granger had a first place finish from Andrew McCune in the discus throw at 147. 9″ for its lone boys’ victory.
