Spring clean-up in the city of Perry starts today.

Residents looking to take advantage of the service will be charged a minimum of $25, which covers up to half a dump truck load and each additional half load is another $25.

All items must be placed in trash bags, sturdy boxes or other disposable containers no larger than a garbage can and placed by the curb.

Large items such as stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers will be billed an additional $25 each.  Microwave disposal is $15 and large furniture is $20 per item.

Statements will be sent out to residents next month.

Crews will pick up items at residences east of 1st Street and south of Willis Avenue today.  Those east of 1st Street and north on WIllis Avenue will be picked up tomorrow and all areas west of 1st Street will be picked up on Wednesday.

Once an area is completed crews will not return, through special phone in requests will be handled on Thursday, April 25th.
