Earth Day was celebrated nationally earlier this week and the student of Panorama Elementary planned on doing their part to help the Earth. Unfortunately the events they had planned were rained out by the weather, but that didn’t stop them from having a day to remember with the students learning about the importance of recycling.

They held a recycle relay in the gym and had the teams compete while recycling, boxes, magazines, plastic containers and toilet paper rolls to name a few of the items.

Arts Teacher for Panorama Elementary School, Ginger Lindsrom says, the students spirits were pretty low, but after hearing about the relay and learning about recycling, they cheered back up.

She says that the events for Earth Day have been delayed until this Friday, pending the weather.
