The White Pole Road Development Corporation met at the AmericINN last night and discussed the previous weekend’s event and the upcoming events. Tom Smull began the night as the WPR’s new secretary.

Last Saturday, they completed their trip of five courses, five towns. At the event they visited five towns along the White Pole Road, Adair, Casey, Menlo, Stuart and Dexter. They came within just a few couples of breaking a profit. They spoke of the struggle to garner local support for the event, and hoped for more promise in the future.

They spoke of a branding campaign in the communities to let the locals know that they are here for them, to get the word out more about the WPR. They want to revive themselves and get some younger, fresher blood into the organization.

They also spoke of the book, Reflections Along the White Pole Road, that local community business are trying to help them sell.

New poles from Adair to Caey and West Central Valley to Dexter, will be repainted next summer.
