The Greene County Board of Supervisors met yesterday in regular session.

The Board approved several items on the agenda.  Steven Cort was hired as a part-time telecommunicator for the Law Enforcement Center, appointed Shirley Clark to the Pioneer Cemetery Committee and set a public hearing for May 13th at 9am for E-911 and the county to enter a loan agreement for $141,000 to update equipment and software.

The other items the Supervisors approved were awarding two different contracts for more road construction this year.  One contract was awarded to Christensen Brothers at $392,451 for a bridge overlay project on county road E-57 over the Raccoon River.  The other contract went to Fort Dodge Asphalt who had the lowest bid to widen and resurface county road P-46 plus additional patching projects throughout the county.

The Board also proclaimed Sunday, May 5th as Tim and Vickie Robbins Day because they are the recipients of the Greene County Community Impact Award.
