District 47 State House Representative Chip Baltimore

The Federal Internet Revenue Service has been under fire recently amidst a growing situation where they were unfairly targeting groups and organizations.

State Representative Chip Baltimore says that since 2009, the IRS has unfairly blocking, harassing and intimidating organizations that have different political or other causes that what they were supporting.  Baltimore believes that the federal government is only interested in hearing what the IRS has to say and are not paying attention to the organizations that feel they were impacted by the accusations.

He explains why he has taken upon himself to be the leader for Iowa groups to be treated fairly in this issue.

“No one else in the state is taking up the charge.  So I thought well, if I’ve got people coming to me and asking me, I may as well use my role as chair of the Judiciary Committee to gather the information and do what I can to help Iowans who feel like they’ve been targeted by the IRS.”

Baltimore urges any organization who feels they’ve been wrongly treated by the IRS to contact him at chip.baltimore@hotmail.com.
