A deputy was advised of several older vehicles that may have been stolen from a residence in Rippey. The deputy initiated an investigation and is checking vehicle registration and insurance.

A deputy was asked to investigate a suspicious vehicle in which the driver was picking up trash bags that were set curbside for garbage pickup in Scranton. It was later determined that due to the Monday holiday the vehicle and driver were helping with trash services.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a cat in 600 block of South 15th Street in Grand Junction. The cat was not found upon the deputy’s arrival.

A deputy investigated the theft of a laptop computer from a resident in Churdan.

A rural Greene County resident came to the Greene County Law enforcement center to report a burglary and the theft of two long guns from his residence.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office informed the Greene County Sheriff’s Office that a trailer license plate belonging to a Greene County resident was found along the roadway in their county. A deputy notified the trailer owner that he may contact Winnebago County to retrieve his plate.

A deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of 195th Street.  The vehicle was not located at that time.

A deputy was advised of an unknown vehicle that had driven through a farm field at 168th Street and J Avenue.

A deputy was asked to locate a vehicle that is being driven around Grand Junction with the driver not having a valid driver’s license.

A deputy was advised of a 13 year old youth driving a vehicle on the roadway in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched to Scranton for a driving complaint. Upon the deputy’s arrival it was found that the owner of the property in question had given the driver of the vehicle permission to drive on her private property.

A deputy was dispatched to Scranton to locate the driver of a vehicle that was reported to be selling cancer insurance. The driver and his vehicle were not located at that time.

A deputy was advised of a hog carcass that has been dumped into the ditch near the 1600 block of 267th Street.

A deputy was advised that three large motorcycles had driven across private property in Scranton.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
