The Perry Bluejay baseball team is 1-1 after two games last week in opening week.  Perry is led offensively by Will Whiton,  who leads the team with 6 RBI’s and 3 runs scored while hitting 3-5.  Michael Lansing has knocked in 4 RBI’s.  Cavan Finn is 2-3 at the plate while pitching 2 and 1/3 of scoreless relief.  Senior Levi Halling is 2-4 at the plate with 2 runs scored and Ben Daniels is 2-5 with a couple of runs scored.

On the pitching mound, Whiton and Jeremiah Ellett have started the first two games  with Finn and Blake Lansing working scoreless relief out of the bullpen.  Whiton is 0-1 after surrendering 2 earned runs against Norwalk, while Ellett is 1-0 after his offense erupted for 11 runs against Denison.  Perry begins a busy weekend tonight with a trip to Boone, followed by a home game with ADM Friday and the Nodaway Valley Tourney on Saturday.  The Perry/ADM baseball game can be heard on K 107 with Jacob York.
