The Road that recently washed out near the North entrance of the Springbrook State Park in Panora is currently under repairs to get the entrance way fixed and the park back to full operating capacity.

The SINK hole that was discovered last Friday, had more to it than expected.  It was found to have a fairly substantial depression under the road, due to the heavy rainfall. The Department of Transportation deemed the road unsafe to drive on and all campers already on the grounds were escorted out safely.

That hole is close to completely filled now.  Kevin Baskins with the Iowa DNR says that they are filling it with rock as we speak, “we hope to have it fully up and operational this weekend with just one lane open right now.

Springbrook State Park is now open, but the road is not yet fully operational, you can still make your way into the park to enjoy the camping festivities.
