The Perry Jayette softball team will travel to Adel tonight for a 7:30 matchup with ADM.  The Jayettes are still searching for their first RRC win while ADM has struggled of late winning only one of their last 8.  The Tigers sit 3-12 on the season.  ADM defeated Perry back on May 30th 9-3 behind some late inning offense.  The Tigers scored 6 runs over the final 3 innings and Gabbie Glenn provided the spark with a 2 run home run for ADM.  The Jayettes are coming off a near upset of top ranked Dallas Center Grimes Monday night.  Perry trailed only 6-5 after 5 innings but could not overtake the defending state runner-up.  Head Coach Tina Kenney told KDLS that her team has been working on the bunt in practice lately.

“I was really disappointed with our bunting over the first few weeks of the season.  Some of our younger players missed signs and did not execute when we needed to get the bunt down.  In this RRC conference, facing these types of pitchers, you must be able to get the bunt down to have a shot.  We have spent a lot of time on that lately. ”

You can listen to Perry and ADM softball tonight at 7:15 on K 107.
