A deputy was dispatched to a report of a broken window to an out building in the 2200 block of R Avenue. The deputy determined that the window was broken by a lawn mower the previous evening.

A deputy checked the report of illegal burning in Scranton. It was found that the neighbor was burning firewood in their fire pit and everything was found to be in order.

A deputy was advised of a theft in the 2200 block of 340th  Street. The theft is under investigation at this time.

A deputy was advised of a transient loitering around the shelter house at the city park in Scranton. The individual was not found upon the deputy’s arrival.

Thursday, July 4th

A deputy was dispatched to Churdan for the report of a transient asking people for money at the Casey’s convenience store. The subject was located and his identity was checked for any outstanding  warrants and everything was found to be in order. The male subject asked and the deputy complied with transporting him to the county line.

A deputy while on routine patrol checked a vehicle with a flat tire at 290th Street and E Avenue.

A deputy was dispatched to Grand Junction for the report of a small friendly dog following children around town. The dog, a tan female with a pink collar was located at the Municipal Swimming Pool and later transported to the animal shelter in Jefferson.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
