Three people injured in two car crash in Guthrie Center.

According to Iowa State Patrol records, around 3:44am on Saturday morning, a 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by Rylie Schlepp, 18 of Guthrie Center was traveling eastbound on Highway 141 by Horn Avenue in Guthrie County west of Bayard when Schlepp crossed the centerline and hit head on with a 1996 Ford F250 driven by Keith Miner, age 40 of Creston.

Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office reports that Iowa State Patrol, Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, Bayard Fire and Rescue, Coon Rapids Fire and Rescue and Coon Rapids Police responded to the scene.

Iowa State Patrol records show that three people were injured in the accident.  Schleep was transported to Guthrie Center Hospital by Coon Rapids Fire and Rescue while Keith Miner was life flighted to Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines and his passenger, Anita Miner, age 32 was transported by Mercy One to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.  The extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.

Iowa State Patrol says Schleep’s seatbelt saved her life and both Miner’s were not wearing their seatbelts.

Iowa State Patrol is handling the investigation.
