The Greene County Chamber and the Bell Tower Foundation is looking for volunteers to help with tours of the Mahanay Bell Tower in Jefferson.

The Bell Tower’s normal hours are everyday during the summer until Labor Day in September from 10am-4pm.  However, Chamber Executive Director Ken Paxton says they can cater to special individual times as well, where volunteers are needed.

“We do a lot of off-hour tours.  One of the things we try to be is responsive to any of the needs for anybody visiting our community.  And if they can’t get there during our regular operating hours and they come by in the evening or something like that or a weekday, we do everything we can to be able to schedule those tours whenever possible.”
