ADMADM softball ends its regular season with a close loss to Winterset 1-0 on the road last night.

The Huskies scored its only run in the fifth inning on an error while ADM’s bats were kept silent allowing only three hits by Winterset’s starter, Karly Olson who went seven shutout innings and struck out 14.

The Tigers starter, eighth-grader Kate Collins hung tough with the 11-5 in conference and 30-8 overall Huskies going five innings, giving up just three hits for one run and striking out one.

Head Coach Steph Mehmen says they can hang with anyone in the conference and tonight’s game proves that.

ADM will take its 2-14 conference record and 4-25 overall record on the road to fifth-ranked in Class 3A Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays who are 11-7 in conference and 24-12 overall for first round of regional postseason softball. The action begins at 6:45pm with the pregame show and first pitch will be at 7pm on K107 tonight on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network.
