A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an emergency 911 call in Jefferson.

A female came to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center to file a report of domestic assault which occurred in the 2000 block of 250th Street just after midnight on July 8, 2013. The deputy completed his report and did photograph the female as she had visible bruising about her body. Subsequently an arrest warrant was issued for Tracy Alan Brown of rural Grand Junction for Felony Domestic Abuse Assault.

A Scranton resident brought a .22 caliber rifle to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center stating that she no longer wanted the rifle in her possession and asked a deputy to destroy the rifle. The .22 rifle will be delivered to the state crime lab for destruction.

A deputy was advised of a stolen vehicle from the 800 block of N Street in Churdan.  The theft is under investigation at this time.

A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Main Street in Scranton for the report of a stolen purse. The purse appears to have been taken from a car that was parked inside of the garage at the residence. An investigation was initiated by the deputy.

A deputy was advised of cattle on the roadway between B and C Avenues on 290th Street. The owner was located and the cattle were placed back into the pasture.

A deputy was advised of a gas drive off from the Casey’s Store in Scranton. A vehicle description of a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a male driver drove away without paying for $76 worth of fuel. A witness at Casey’s tried to follow the vehicle as it left Scranton but was unable to get a license plate description.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a resident in Scranton after an E-911 call was received by dispatchers at the Law Enforcement Center. Everything was found to be in order upon the deputy’s arrival.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
